Why I'm running for
Mayor |
As I speak with people throughout the city,
many have asked why I want to run for Mayor. Why take on this task
during these difficult times? To me, the answer is simple: true
leaders are willing to face adversity head-on.
My commitment to this community dates back three generations. We
Brocktonians will weather this storm together, as we have others in
the past, and we will come out of it a stronger, more cohesive

still place where neighbors help one another; where children get a
great education with opportunities to shine and where businesses choose to locate and prosper. This race is not my race.
It is our race. It is a race about what we want for the future
of our city and our children. I am asking you to join to me
and to believe that together we can bring about change in
Brockton.

I have developed a "Blueprint
for Brockton" detailing five main areas of concern that
I will act upon when taking office as mayor. |

Sustaining and improving fiscal solvency.

by foreclosures and public safety issues.

Reinvigorating community spirit and engaging citizenry.

Communication is the key.
We will
focus on creating opportunities
to build community spirit and community connections, with an emphasis
on collaboration and accountability. I will actively seek new
members of city boards and commissions and solicit residents’ input
on city programs and initiatives, introduce summer concerts for
families and maintain direct communication with residents through
regular news updates and utilization of the city’s website as a
clearinghouse for volunteer opportunities.
